Book Tagged!

My great friend Joy "book tagged" me a while ago, and now that I'm semi-settled and have the internet back, here it goes:

The rules...1. Pick up the nearest book (at least 123 pages).

2. Open to page 123.

3. Find the fifth sentence.

4. Post the fifth sentence on your blog.

5. Tag 5 people.

The nearest book: (If the next book in the Twilight series were out, it would be a no-brainer, but (sigh!) it's not.) HISTORY OF JOSEPH SMITH BY HIS MOTHER

Page 123, 5th sentence: "As he was aware that we would expect him to bring the plates home with him, be was greatly troubled, fearing that we might doubt his having seen them."

Now I tag: Trisha Session, Tori Sessions, Debbie Sell, Amber Standage, and Cristina McLane!

Settled in Florida...sort of!

Well, we finally got to Florida, after Chris spent one month in New Jersey and Ethan and I spent the month in Kansas with my family. We are glad to all be together again, especially Ethan who rarely lets daddy set him down or walk out of his sight.

We had a lot of fun house hunting here, and found our dream house on the same day Chris found out we will be here in Jacksonville for less than 6 months before going to California! So, we left most of the boxes packed up, and moved into a temporary apartment. C'est la vie! (At least when you're in the military.) I'm being positive and excited about this, but I am looking forward to being able to settle down a just a little bit more in the near future!

Chris loves the Coast Guard so far, and is having a lot of fun fishing when they go on their two day cruises. (Rough life, huh?)

I am also excited about flying back to Kansas next week to see my family for another week and then bring Inca here to see her new home (or at least her temporary home.)

Happy 1st Birthday Ethan!

We celebrated Ethan's birthday a couple weeks early in Kansas, so my family could join in on the fun (and mess!) He was thrilled to have Chris back from New Jersey, and loved eating his first piece of cake! He started walking one week before he actually turned one, and is so pleased with himself. He loves to walk across the room and laugh at this fun new skill he has learned! We are so proud of him!

Our Little Virtuoso

In Kansas with my family, Ethan discovered the piano and trumpet thanks to his uncle Vincent! He loved playing "duets" on the piano every morning when Vince would practice. He loved watching Vince play the trumpet, sometimes he even tried to take it away and play it himself!
